Trivia
- The film's title 'Indian' was changed to 'Bharateeyudu' for its Telugu release to avoid confusion with the 1996 Tamil film 'Indian' starring Kamal Haasan.
- This was one of the few Hindi films where actor Raj played a dual role, portraying both the hero and his father in flashback sequences.
- The movie was a remake of the 1999 Tamil film 'Mudhalvan', which was also directed by N. Maharajan and starred Arjun.
- Actress Manisha Koirala was initially considered for the female lead, but the role eventually went to actress Priyanka Trivedi.
- The film's soundtrack, composed by Anu Malik, included a popular patriotic song that was promoted heavily during its release period.
- Despite its action-drama genre, the film performed poorly at the box office and is considered a commercial failure.
- Some filming locations included real police stations and government buildings in Mumbai to add authenticity to the setting.
