Virasat(1997)
Virasat is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by Priyadarshan. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Tabu, Amrish Puri, Pooja Batra, Milind Gunaji, and Govind Namdeo. The story follows Shakti Thakur, a London-educated man who returns to his ancestral village and becomes entangled in a violent family feud between his father and his uncle. The film explores themes of duty, sacrifice, and the true purpose of education. It is a remake of the Tamil film Thevar Magan, with a story written by Kamal Haasan. Virasat received critical acclaim and won seven Filmfare Awards, including Best Film (Critics) and Best Actor (Critics) for Anil Kapoor. The music was composed by Anu Malik, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The film was released on 30 May 1997.

Storyline
A London-educated man returns to his village and wants to sell his land to start a new life. But his father refuses, saying education is meant to help others. Soon, he is pulled into a deadly feud between his family and his uncle's family. He must choose between running away or staying to save his village.
