Vaanam (2011) is a Tamil hyperlink action drama film directed by Krish. The lead cast includes Silambarasan TR, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj, and Jasmin Bhasin. The story follows five strangers from different social backgrounds whose lives collide during a hostage crisis at a Chennai hospital. The film is a remake of Krish's own Telugu film Vedam (2010). It was produced by Magic Box Pictures and VTV Productions. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography by G. Srinivas Reddy. Storyline
A cheerful cable operator, a struggling musician, a trapped prostitute, a debt-ridden woman, and a radical terrorist all end up in the same hospital. When the terrorist takes everyone hostage, these five strangers must work together to survive. Their choices will change their lives forever.
