'Kodi Parakuthu' is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Bharathiraja. The film stars Rajinikanth in a dual role as DCP Erode Sivagiri and mafia leader JDP Dhadha. Amala, Bhagyalakshmi, and Manivannan appear in supporting roles. The story follows an honest police officer who is framed by a criminal lookalike and must clear his name. The film was produced by Bharathiraja after a series of award-winning films failed commercially. It was released on 8 November 1988 and was a box office failure. The soundtrack was composed by Hamsalekha with lyrics by Vairamuthu.

Storyline
An honest police officer named Sivagiri shuts down a mafia leader's illegal businesses. The mafia leader uses a lookalike to frame Sivagiri for crimes he did not commit. Sivagiri must clear his name and bring the real criminal to justice.
