Palaivana Rojakkal(1986)
Palaivana Rojakkal is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language political satire film directed by Manivannan and written by M. Karunanidhi. The cast includes Sathyaraj, Lakshmi, Nalini, and Prabhu. The story follows journalist Sabarathnam as he fights to expose corrupt politicians Aalavandhan and VJV, who control the city through violence and bribery. The film explores themes of press freedom, friendship, and the power of truth against a broken system. It was a commercial success upon its Diwali release on 1 November 1986 and helped establish Sathyaraj as a mass hero. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Vartha.

Storyline
Journalist Sabarathnam uses his newspaper to expose a powerful politician's crimes. The politician fights back with threats, violence, and bribery. Sabarathnam must protect his lover Surya and his friend Babu while continuing his investigation. He risks everything to bring the truth to the public.
