'Thambikku Entha Ooru' is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Rajasekhar and written by Panchu Arunachalam. The film stars Rajinikanth, Madhavi, and Sulakshana in lead roles. The story follows Balu, a wealthy and reckless young man sent by his father to a village to learn discipline through hard labor. In the village, Balu falls in love with Sumathi, a wealthy local girl, while also earning the affection of Azhagi, his mentor's daughter. The film was a commercial success and was later remade in Kannada as 'Anjada Gandu' (1988). It features a popular soundtrack composed by Ilaiyaraaja, including the hit song 'Kadhalin Deepam Ondru'. The film was released on 20 April 1984.

Storyline
A spoiled rich boy named Balu is sent to a village by his father to learn discipline. He must work as a laborer for one year and hide his true identity. In the village, he falls in love with an arrogant local girl named Sumathi. But a powerful villain kidnaps Sumathi, and Balu must fight to rescue her.
