• Nassar and Nizhalgal Ravi first shared screen space in Thambikku Entha Ooru (1984) because the director, Panchu Arunachalam, needed two actors who could play brothers convincingly without looking alike. He cast them specifically for their contrasting physiques — Ravi lean and intense, Nassar stocky and earthy.
• In Kuruthipunal (1995), Nassar played the volatile cop while Ravi played the calm negotiator. The tension worked because Nassar would deliberately raise his voice in rehearsals, forcing Ravi to lower his — they built the scene's rhythm by pushing each other to opposite extremes.
• Their only film together that tanked — Jodi (1999) — was also the one that indirectly launched a new trend: after its failure, both actors swore off multi-starrers for nearly a decade, making producers rethink how to pair character actors in lead roles.
