Oru Thaai Makkal is a 1971 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film directed by P. Neelakantan. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran, Jayalalithaa, M. N. Nambiar, and R. Muthuraman. It is a remake of the 1964 Hindi film Ayee Milan Ki Bela. The story follows Kannan, a farm manager who is framed for theft and rape by a vengeful officer. He must clear his name while his lover Radha is forced to marry another man. The film explores themes of brotherhood, truth, and forgiveness. The soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Kannadasan and Vaali. The film was released on 9 December 1971 and had a 70-day theatrical run.

Storyline
