
Nam Naadu(1969)
'Nam Naadu' (transl. Our Country) is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by C. P. Jambulingam. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran as Durai, an honest government clerk, alongside Jayalalithaa as Ammu, a tender-coconut seller. The story follows Durai as he fights against three corrupt VIPs who steal money meant for the poor. The film was a remake of the Telugu film 'Kathanayakudu' (1969). It was produced by B. Nagi Reddy and featured politically charged dialogues written by K. Sornam. The soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Vaali. The film was released on 7 November 1969 and received positive reviews for its timely political message. It is available on YouTube and other digital platforms.

Storyline
Durai is an honest government clerk who believes in fairness. He fights against three powerful criminals who pretend to be patriots but steal from the poor. After losing his job and home, Durai rises from the slums to win a municipal election. He must rescue his brother, find hidden money, and expose the villains before they destroy everything.
