Bommalattam(1968)
Bommalattam is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Muktha Srinivasan and produced by V. Ramaswamy. The cast includes Jaishankar, Jayalalithaa, Nagesh, Manorama, and Major Sundarrajan. The story follows Sukumar, a trusting young man who loses his entire fortune to a cunning friend named Rathnam. With help from his love Malathi and loyal friends, Sukumar fights to reclaim his wealth and expose the villain. The film is notable for featuring Tamil cinema's first gaana song, 'Vaa Vathiyare', sung by Manorama. The music was composed by V. Kumar with lyrics by Vaali. The film was released on 31 May 1968.

Storyline
A wealthy young man named Sukumar trusts a new friend named Rathnam. Rathnam tricks him into signing away his entire fortune. Sukumar loses everything — his home, his money, and his father's respect. With help from his love Malathi, he must find a way to outsmart the villain and get his life back.
