
Galatta Kalyanam(1968)
Galatta Kalyanam is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by C. V. Rajendran. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and Jayalalithaa in lead roles. It is based on a stage play of the same name written by Gopu and Sridhar. The story follows Madhan, who must find husbands for his girlfriend's three sisters before he can marry her. The film was the first production of Ramkumar Films, named after Sivaji Ganesan's son. It marked the first on-screen pairing of Sivaji Ganesan and Jayalalithaa. The song sequence 'Engal Kalyanam' was shot at Anna Nagar Tower Park, making it the first film to be shot there. The film received positive reviews for its comical dialogues and direction. It was later remade in Malayalam as Snehikkan Samayamilla and in Kannada as Aliya Devaru.

Storyline
Madhan loves Lalitha and wants to marry her. But her father Dharmalingam has a strange condition. All four of his daughters must get married at the same time. Madhan must find suitable husbands for Lalitha's three sisters. The eldest sister hates marriage and the others have their own demands. Madhan faces one hilarious problem after another.
