
Thanipiravi(1966)
Thanipiravi is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran as Muthaiya and Jayalalithaa as Radha. The story follows Muthaiya, who infiltrates a criminal gang to avenge his brother’s murder. The film features a dream sequence where Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa appear as the gods Murugan and Valli. The soundtrack was composed by K. V. Mahadevan with lyrics by Kannadasan. The film was released on 16 September 1966 and ran for ten weeks in theatres. It was not a commercial success but gained a cult following for its bold hero and leftist themes.

Storyline
