
Iruvar Ullam(1963)
Iruvar Ullam is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by L. V. Prasad and written by M. Karunanidhi. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and B. Saroja Devi in lead roles, with M. R. Radha, S. V. Ranga Rao, and Padmini Priyadarshini in supporting roles. Based on Lakshmi's novel Pen Manam, the story follows Selvam, a medical student and playboy, who is forced into marriage with Shanta, a teacher who dislikes him. When a former lover is murdered, Selvam becomes the prime suspect. The film was noted for its blend of romance and courtroom drama. It was a box office success, running for over 100 days, and is considered a trendsetter for post-marriage narratives in Tamil cinema. The film was released on 29 March 1963.

Storyline

When a woman from Selvam's past is murdered, he is the prime suspect. Shanta must decide if she believes in his innocence.
