Aadi Perukku(1962)
Aadi Perukku is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language romance film edited and directed by K. Shankar. The film stars Gemini Ganesan, B. Saroja Devi, and Devika in lead roles. The story follows Raja, a poet who grows up in an orphanage unaware of his wealthy father's betrayal by a man named Jambu. Padma, a woman who loses her brother and mother, finds shelter in Raja's home. Their love is challenged by Latha's jealousy and Raja's hidden past. The film is named after the Tamil festival Aadi Perukku, though the festival appears only in the song 'Annaiyin Arule Vaa'. It was released on 2 August 1962 and failed at the box office due to a predictable plot and excessive melodrama.

Storyline
