Malai Malai is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by A. Venkatesh. The film stars Arun Vijay, Prabhu, Vedhika, and Kasthuri in lead roles. Prakash Raj, Santhanam, and Ganja Karuppu appear in supporting parts. The story follows two brothers, Palani and Vetri, who move from a village near Palani temple to Chennai. Vetri falls in love with a radio jockey and gets into a conflict with a local gangster. The film was shot at the Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple and in Sriperumbudur. It became a commercial success and revived Arun Vijay's career. The music was composed by Mani Sharma. The film released on 31 July 2009.

Storyline
Vetri moves from his village to Chennai to find a better job and be with the girl he loves. He gets a job as a driver but soon clashes with a powerful gangster named Essaki. His older brother Palani arrives in the city unaware of the danger. The brothers must fight together to survive.
