Trivia
- The film's title translates to 'A Flower's Wedding' and is based on a popular Tamil song from the 1970s.
- Director Ezhil originally planned to cast Suriya and Jyothika, but they were unavailable, leading to Jeevan and Jyothika's sister, Nagma, taking the lead roles.
- This was one of the few Tamil films where music director Vidyasagar used a full live orchestra for recording, including a large string section.
- A key scene where the families fight was shot in a single, unbroken take lasting over four minutes to increase realism.
- The film's climax, set during a heavy rain sequence, used real water tankers and took three nights to complete filming.
- Despite being a drama, the movie includes a cameo by comedian Vadivelu in a brief but memorable comedy track unrelated to the main plot.
- The soundtrack album sold exceptionally well in rural areas, often outperforming the film's box office in cities.
