
Vallarasu(2000)
Vallarasu is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by N. Maharajan in his directorial debut. The film stars Vijayakanth as the titular Deputy Commissioner of Police and Devayani as his wife Anjali. The story follows Vallarasu, an honest police officer who discovers that his father-in-law, a senior police official, is collaborating with terrorists. He kills the traitor and loses his family, then builds a team of young men to fight the terrorist network funded by a wealthy businessman. The film was praised for its patriotic tone and action sequences. It was a commercial success and was later remade in Hindi as Indian (2001). The soundtrack was composed by Deva. Vallarasu was released on 14 April 2000.

Storyline
