Gopura Deepam(1997)
Gopura Deepam is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Ramarajan. The film stars Ramarajan, Sukanya, R. Sundarrajan, and Senthil in lead roles. The story follows a young man from a traditional family tasked with lighting the lamp on the village temple tower. A powerful villager spreads lies about his family's past, threatening their honor and his marriage. The hero must uncover the truth to restore his family's name and save his relationship. The film features music composed by Soundaryan with lyrics by Vairamuthu. It was released on 15 January 1997 and received a government subsidy after its box office failure.

Storyline
