• On the sets of 'Gopura Deepam' (1997), Senthil and Sukanya reportedly didn't speak to each other off-camera for the entire shoot. The film bombed hard (1/10), and they never worked together again — no public fallout, just silence.
• Sukanya once said in an interview: 'Senthil made me work harder. If I didn't match his energy, the scene would fall flat. He never let me relax.'
• Senthil and Sukanya first shared screen space in 'Thanga Kalasam' (1988), but the pairing that clicked was in 'Seeman' (1994). Director S. A. Chandrasekhar deliberately cast them as a comedic couple after seeing their timing in earlier films — he wanted a pair that could bicker like real siblings, not just deliver punchlines.
• In 'Sakkarai Devan' (1993), Senthil’s frantic physical comedy forced Sukanya to play the straight woman — she had to react with deadpan disbelief to keep the scene grounded. That push-pull became their signature: he escalated, she deflated.
• Their bickering-couple act in 'Seeman' (1994) was so popular that it directly inspired the template for the comedy track in 'Muthu' (1995) — the same director reused the dynamic with a different pair, but the blueprint was Senthil-Sukanya.
