Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by V. Sekhar. The film stars Nassar as Sivaraman and Radhika as Lakshmi, with Goundamani, Jaishankar, Vadivelu, and Kovai Sarala in supporting roles. The story follows a middle-class government clerk whose wife becomes obsessed with matching the lavish lifestyle of their corrupt politician neighbor. This obsession leads the family into debt, job loss, and near starvation. The film was praised by critics as a clean family entertainer with a strong script. It was later remade in Telugu as Aasthi Mooredu Aasha Baaredu and in Kannada as Hendtheer Darbar. The film was released on 14 April 1994.

Storyline
Sivaraman is an honest government clerk living a simple life with his wife and two children. When a wealthy politician moves in next door, Sivaraman's wife Lakshmi becomes obsessed with matching their lifestyle. She pressures him to buy luxury items on credit, pushing the family deep into debt. Sivaraman must find a way to save his family without losing his integrity.
