Maharasan is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language comedy film produced, directed and co-written by G. N. Rangarajan. The film stars Kamal Haasan as Vadivelu, a butcher, alongside Bhanupriya, Ramesh Aravind, Chandrasekhar, Goundamani, Senthil, and Vadivelu in supporting roles. The story follows a butcher who refuses to marry until his younger sister is settled, leading to a series of comedic events involving a love triangle, a family secret about a swapped baby, and a wealthy politician's prejudice. Notable for Kamal Haasan acting without payment to help the director overcome financial crisis, the film was a commercial success and helped Rangarajan recover from debts. It was released on 5 March 1993 and features music by Ilaiyaraaja.

Storyline
Vadivelu is a butcher who lives with his sister Rani in a slum. He loves his neighbour Selvi but refuses to marry until Rani is settled. Selvi disguises herself as a boy to make Rani's lover Ramesh jealous. But Ramesh's rich father opposes the marriage. A family secret about a swapped baby changes everything.
