Amaran is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language action gangster film written, directed, and produced by K. Rajeshwar. The film stars Karthik as the titular character and Bhanupriya as his love interest, with Radha Ravi, Prathap K. Pothan, and Shammi Kapoor in supporting roles. The story follows an orphan who becomes a kind-hearted slum lord and later seeks revenge against a brutal don who destroyed his family. The film features cinematography by P. C. Sreeram and music composed by Adithyan. It marked the Tamil debut of legendary Bollywood actor Shammi Kapoor. The film was released theatrically on 15 January 1992 during the Pongal festival.

Storyline

An orphan boy saves a man from gangsters and is adopted. He grows up to become a powerful but kind slum lord. When a stranger begs him to fight a vicious don, he refuses. But after the don murders the stranger, he learns the don also destroyed his own family. Now he wants revenge.

Revenge has a price. He paid it.
