Thevar Magan is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Bharathan and written by Kamal Haasan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Kamal Haasan, Revathi, Gautami, and Nassar. Set in the feudal Madurai district, the story follows Sakthivel, a London-educated son who returns to his village and gets caught in a violent family feud. The film explores themes of duty, honor, and the cycle of violence in rural Tamil Nadu. It was critically acclaimed and won five National Film Awards, including Best Tamil Film. Thevar Magan was released on Diwali day in 1992 and completed a 175-day theatrical run.

Storyline
Sakthivel returns from London to his village with his modern girlfriend. His father Periyasamy Thevar wants him to stay and help the villagers. But a brutal family feud with his cousin Mayan forces Sakthi to choose between his dreams and his duty. As violence escalates, Sakthi must decide how far he will go to protect his family and his people.
