• Nassar and Revathi first shared screen space in Thevar Magan (1992), but the real spark came when director K. Balachander cast them as a married couple in Magalir Mattum (1994). Balachander specifically wanted actors who could play a bickering, middle-class couple without glamour — and both were his first choices.
• In Avatharam (1995), Nassar played a mute character, so Revathi had to carry all the dialogue-heavy emotional scenes. She later said in an interview that acting opposite a silent Nassar forced her to slow down her delivery and use more micro-expressions — a technique she never used with any other co-star.
• Their 2018 film Keni was a sleeper hit that directly led to a wave of small-budget, single-location thrillers in Tamil cinema. Producers started greenlighting similar scripts because Keni proved you could make a profit with just two actors in one room.
• Nassar and Revathi never became close friends off-screen. In a 2019 interview, Revathi admitted they barely spoke between films — but that distance actually helped them play estranged couples more convincingly. She called it 'professional respect without personal baggage.'
