• Nassar and Madhan Bob first shared screen space in Thevar Magan (1992) because director Bharathan needed a pair of actors who could play loyal village sidekicks without stealing focus from Sivaji Ganesan. Nassar recommended Bob after they had worked together in a stage play earlier that year.
• In Magalir Mattum (1994), Nassar played the loud, overbearing husband while Madhan Bob played his meek brother-in-law. Bob later said in an interview that Nassar deliberately dialed up his volume in every scene so Bob's quiet reactions would land harder — a trick they kept using in all six films.
• During the shoot of Chachi 420 (1997), Nassar and Madhan Bob shared a room in a cheap Chennai lodge for three weeks because the film's budget was so tight. Bob cooked rice on a small stove while Nassar narrated scripts to him late into the night.
• The comic duo's bickering in Pallavan (2003) was so popular that the director, R. K. Selvamani, wrote a spin-off scene specifically for them — a 12-minute single-shot argument in a bus. That scene later inspired a similar sequence in the 2010 film Boss Engira Bhaskaran.
• Madhan Bob once said: 'Nassar is the only co-actor who would pause mid-dialogue to check if I was comfortable with the pace. He treated me like a younger brother, not a supporting actor.'
• After Vaigai Express (2017) flopped, Nassar called Madhan Bob and said they should stop doing comedy roles together unless the script was truly special. They haven't acted together since — by mutual agreement, not fallout.
