Trivia

  • The film was originally titled 'Greeku Veerudu' but also promoted as 'Greece Hero' in English to highlight its foreign setting.
  • This was one of the last films of veteran comedian M.S. Narayana, who played Nagarjuna's uncle, before his passing in 2015.
  • Parts of the movie were shot in Greece, which was an unusual and expensive location for a Telugu film at the time.
  • Actress Meera Chopra, who played Maya, is the cousin of popular Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.
  • The film's soundtrack was composed by Anup Rubens, who was a rising music director in Telugu cinema during that period.
  • Despite the glamorous foreign locales, the film performed poorly at the box office and was a commercial failure.
  • Director Dasaradh had previously worked with Nagarjuna on the successful family drama 'Santosham' (2002).
