Trivia

  • The film was originally planned with a different title, 'Made in Chennai', but was later renamed to 'Bujjigaadu' to appeal to Telugu audiences.
  • This was one of the few Puri Jagannadh films where the hero, played by Prabhas, sports a clean-shaven look for most of the runtime.
  • Actress Neha Sharma made her Telugu debut with this film, but her voice was dubbed by another artist.
  • The movie's climax was shot in a single schedule at a specially constructed set resembling a Chennai slum.
  • A popular item song, 'Chamak Cham', was reused from the director's earlier Hindi film 'Fight Club: Members Only'.
  • The film underperformed at the box office, which was unusual for a Prabhas and Puri Jagannadh combination at that time.
  • Some comedy scenes were improvised on set by Brahmanandam, who played a key supporting role.
