Gudumba Shankar(2004)
Gudumba Shankar is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language comedy film directed by Veera Shankar and produced by Nagendra Babu under Anjana Productions. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in the title role, with Meera Jasmine and Ashish Vidyarthi in lead roles, and Brahmanandam, Ali, and Sayaji Shinde in supporting roles. The story follows a small-time thief who falls in love with a woman fleeing a forced marriage to a superstitious gangster. Pawan Kalyan also wrote the screenplay and choreographed three songs and the action sequences. The music was composed by Mani Sharma with cinematography by Chota K. Naidu. The film received mixed reviews but was a commercial success, largely driven by Kalyan's popularity and his trendsetting style, including wearing double pants. It was re-released on September 2, 2023, on Kalyan's birthday.

Storyline
A small-time thief named Gudumba Shankar meets Gowri on a train. She is running away from a forced marriage to a superstitious gangster. Shankar falls in love with her. He must use his clever tricks to stop the wedding and win her heart.
