• Balu ABCDEFG (2005) was their first film together, but it almost didn't happen. Director A. Karunakaran originally wanted a different comedian for Pawan's sidekick role. Pawan personally insisted on Brahmanandam, saying only he could match his comic timing in that film.
• In Panjaa (2011), Brahmanandam played a nervous sidekick who gets dragged into Pawan's violent world. The trick was simple: Brahmanandam would deliberately over-deliver his lines, and Pawan would under-react with a deadpan stare. • In Bro (2023), their last film together, the roles flipped. Pawan played the comic relief while Brahmanandam played the straight man.
