Trivia
- The film was originally titled 'Vishnu' but was later changed to 'Vishnu Sena' for its release in some regions.
- This was the only Telugu film directed by noted Malayalam filmmaker Shaji Kailas, known for his action thrillers.
- Actress Laya, who played Vaishnavi, was primarily a dancer and this was one of her few leading roles in Telugu cinema.
- The movie's soundtrack was composed by S. A. Rajkumar, who was a frequent collaborator with actor Vishnu's family.
- A key promotional element was the on-screen reunion of actor Vishnu and actress Laya after their previous film 'Takari Donga'.
- The plot involving childhood separation and hidden identity is a recurring theme in many early 2000s Telugu family dramas.
- Despite the star cast, the film had a relatively low-key release compared to other major films of that year.
