- The film's title 'Thee Ivan' translates to 'Fire Ivan', but the character named Ivan is not the central male lead.
- Director T. M. Jayamurugan is known for rural family dramas, and this was his first release after a three-year gap.
- The movie was shot primarily in and around Madurai, capturing the region's specific cultural backdrop.
- Actress Mahima Nambiar, who plays the female lead, had to portray a character spanning several life stages.
- The story is built around an old Tamil proverb about gender double standards, which is repeated in the synopsis.
- The film had a very limited theatrical run, with most audiences discovering it through streaming platforms later.
- A subplot involves the heroine's brother, whose actions directly reflect the film's theme of family shame.
