• Delhi Ganesh was the one who pushed for Mayilsamy to be cast in Thalai Nagaram (2006). The director wanted a different comedian. Ganesh insisted Mayilsamy had the right rhythm for the role.
• In Poriyaalan (2014), Mayilsamy deliberately slowed down his delivery to match Delhi Ganesh's measured style. Ganesh later said that Mayilsamy's patience made their scenes feel like a real father-son conversation, not a comedy track.
• On the sets of Ragalaipuram (2013), the two would share a single cup of filter coffee between shots. Mayilsamy would always let Delhi Ganesh take the first sip. It became their unspoken ritual across all five films.
