• Krishna was already a superstar when he cast Soundarya in 'Number One' (1994). He personally chose her after seeing her in a Tamil film, even though she was relatively new to Telugu cinema.
• In 'Amma Donga' (1995), Krishna played a double role — one as a father and one as a son. Soundarya played the love interest of the son, but the film's emotional core was her scenes with the father character. She had to shift her energy completely between the two roles, and Krishna directed her through that switch on set.
• Krishna and Soundarya stayed in touch long after their films ended. When Soundarya tragically died in a plane crash in 2004, Krishna was one of the first senior actors to visit her family and publicly mourn her loss.
• Soundarya once said in an interview that Krishna 'treated her like a daughter' on set, and that she learned more about timing and screen presence from him than from any acting school.
• Their third and final film together, 'Ravanna' (2000), was a mythological disaster that scored a 1/10 on IMDb. It effectively ended their on-screen pairing — neither worked with the other again after that.
