• Manisha Koirala was the one who pushed for Govinda to be cast in 'Dil Deewana Maane Na' (1997). The director wanted a more intense actor, but Manisha insisted Govinda's comic timing would balance her dramatic role. She personally called him to say yes.
• In 'Achanak' (1998), Govinda deliberately slowed down his usual rapid-fire dialogue delivery to match Manisha's measured, intense pauses. He later told a trade magazine that acting opposite her made him 'learn the power of silence.'
