• Suhasini was just 17 when she signed Nandri, Meendum Varuga (1982) opposite Jaishankar, who was 44. She later admitted she was nervous acting opposite a legend, but he made her comfortable by cracking jokes between takes.
• In Apoorva Sahodarigal (1983), Jaishankar played a double role — and Suhasini had to react differently to each version in the same scene. She later said he would subtly change his eye contact and breathing rhythm to help her cue which brother she was talking to.
• During the shoot of Uruvangal Maralam (1983), Suhasini’s father (director C. V. Sridhar) fell seriously ill. Jaishankar quietly rescheduled his own commitments so the film wouldn’t pressure her — and never told the press about it.
• Suhasini once said in an interview: 'Jaishankar sir treated me like a younger sister, not a co-star. He never once made me feel like a newcomer.'
• Their pairing in Thaiveedu (1983) was so well-received that the director, R. C. Sakthi, immediately cast them again in a cameo together in his next film — making them one of the few on-screen couples to get a callback within the same year.
