• They first met on the set of Nallavan (1988). Janagaraj was already a known comedian. Chinni Jayanth was a newcomer. Janagaraj saw him struggling with a line and whispered the delivery. That one moment made them friends for life.
• In Vaigasi Poranthachu (1990), Janagaraj played the straight man to Chinni Jayanth's hyperactive sidekick. Janagaraj would deliberately pause his lines to let Chinni Jayanth's physical comedy land. That rhythm — one sets, the other finishes — became their trademark.
• They never rehearsed together. Before every scene, they'd just look at each other and nod. Chinni Jayanth later said in an interview: 'We knew each other's timing like a heartbeat. No words needed.'

• After Piriyadha Varam Vendum (2001), they drifted apart. No fight. Just life. But in 2018, when Janagaraj was hospitalized, Chinni Jayanth was the first person at his bedside. He stayed the whole night.
