Biography
Manoj–Gyan is a Tamil film music composer duo comprising Manoj Bhatnagar (from Uttar Pradesh) and Gyan Varma (from Punjab), who collaborated as a composing partnership in the 1980s Tamil and Hindi film industries. They composed music for films including Oomai Vizhigal (1986), Senthoora Poove (1988), and Urimai Geetham (1988), with notable songs such as 'Tholvi Nilayena Ninaithal' sung by P B Srinivas in Oomai Vizhigal. Both served as long-term assistants to the legendary Hindi film composer duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal before establishing their own partnership in the early 1980s. The duo separated around 1989, after which Gyan Varma scored independently for films like Inaindha Kaigal and Sathya Vaakku.
