• Before Vamshanikokkadu (1996), Balakrishna was the bigger star. Sarath was still finding his footing. The director, K. Raghavendra Rao, paired them specifically to give Sarath a launchpad alongside a proven mass hero. It worked — the film was a hit and Sarath got his break.
• In Peddannayya (1997), Balakrishna played the elder brother and Sarath the younger. On set, Balakrishna would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery in emotional scenes so Sarath could match his intensity. Sarath later said that gesture taught him how to hold a scene without rushing.
• Sultan (1999) was the only film in their trio where Sarath played the villain opposite Balakrishna. That role directly led to Sarath being cast as the antagonist in several other big-budget films in the early 2000s, including a key role in the blockbuster Narasimha Naidu (2001).
