• Nassar and Geetha first shared screen space in 'Mr. Prasad' (1992) because director R. Parthiban specifically wanted a pair that looked like they could actually be a married couple — not a hero and a glamorous heroine. He cast them as a middle-class husband and wife, and their natural, unglamorous chemistry became the film's emotional anchor.
• In 'Kuruthipunal' (1995), Nassar played a cold-blooded terrorist and Geetha played his wife. What made their scenes crackle: Nassar would deliberately stay in character between takes — silent, menacing — and Geetha would match him by staying in her terrified, tearful state. They never broke character once during their joint scenes, which made the tension feel unbearably real.
• Off-screen, Nassar and Geetha were complete opposites. He was intense and method; she was chatty and light. But on the sets of all three films, they had a ritual: before every emotional scene, they'd sit together and silently hold hands for 30 seconds. Geetha later said it was the only way she could match Nassar's intensity without feeling overwhelmed.
• Geetha once said in an interview: 'Nassar doesn't act — he becomes. I had to learn to stop acting and just react. He taught me that silence on screen is louder than any dialogue.' She said this while promoting 'Kaadhale Nimmadhi' (1998).
• Their pairing in 'Kuruthipunal' (1995) directly inspired director Bala to cast Nassar and a lesser-known actress in a similar tense marital dynamic for 'Sethu' (1999) — a film that launched both Bala and actor Vikram. Bala admitted in a 2000 interview that he rewatched their scenes in 'Kuruthipunal' to study how to build dread between a husband and wife.
