• Brahmanandam was the one who suggested Sampath Raj for the villain role in Mirchi (2013). The director initially had someone else in mind, but Brahmanandam insisted after working with Sampath on a Tamil film.
• In Loukyam (2014), Brahmanandam improvised a whole comedy track on set, and Sampath Raj matched his timing beat-for-beat. The director later said he just let the camera roll because they kept feeding off each other.
