• Srividya was the one who pushed for Sivaji Ganesan to star opposite her in Imaiyam (1979). She had just come off a hit with him in another language and told the director she wouldn't do the film unless he signed Sivaji.
• In Ezhudhadha Sattangal (1984), Sivaji deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Srividya's natural rhythm. He told the crew she made him listen more on screen — something he rarely did with other co-stars.
• During the shoot of Needhiyin Nizhal (1985), Srividya would bring homemade snacks for Sivaji every single day. He later said in an interview that she was the only co-star who remembered he hated sweets and always brought savories.
• Naam (1985) — their highest-rated collaboration — directly inspired a wave of middle-class family dramas in Tamil cinema through the late 80s. At least three directors have cited the film's husband-wife arguments as the template for their own scripts.
