• Tabu was just 24 and already a National Award winner when she signed 'Himmat' (1996) opposite Sunny Deol. She later admitted she took the film mainly because she wanted to work with a big action star — and ended up doing six more with him.
• In 'Jeet' (1996), Sunny Deol's character is a violent gangster — but Tabu's scenes are the only ones where he softens. She plays the moral anchor, and the director deliberately wrote her dialogues to cut through his rage. That dynamic became their template for almost every film together.
• Their pairing in 'Border' (1997) created a template for the 'war film with a love story' sub-genre in Bollywood. Every major war film after that — from 'LOC Kargil' to 'Uri' — copied the structure of cutting to a romantic subplot between battles. That formula started with Tabu and Sunny's brief but iconic scenes in 'Border'.

The entire climax is a 15-minute courtroom scene where she delivers his closing argument.
