• Kamal Haasan was just 18 when he first acted opposite Jayasudha in Sollathaan Ninaikkiren (1973). She was already a star. He later said she made him feel like a co-star, not a junior artist.
• In Naan Avanillai (1974), Kamal played five different characters. Jayasudha played the only woman who sees through all his disguises. Their scenes together gave the film its emotional anchor — she grounded his chaos.
