• Chandra Mohan was the first choice for the role of Nagarjuna's strict father in Manmadhudu (2002). But the director initially hesitated, thinking Chandra Mohan looked too young. Nagarjuna personally insisted, and the pairing clicked so well that Chandra Mohan became the go-to 'father figure' for Nagarjuna's films afterward.
• In Manmadhudu, Chandra Mohan played the overbearing dad who never smiles. Jaya Prakash Reddy played the comic villain who laughs at everything. The two never shared a single scene together in that film — their entire 'collaboration' was a contrast in tone, not a conversation.
