• L. B. Sriram was a writer first. Chalapathi Rao convinced him to step in front of the camera for a small role in 'Chala Bagundi' (2000). That one role turned Sriram into a regular character actor.
• In 'Janaki Weds Sriram' (2003), Chalapathi Rao played the comic sidekick while L. B. Sriram played the nervous groom. Rao set the pace with loud, physical comedy, and Sriram responded with deadpan reactions — the contrast made both funnier.
