• They first met on the sets of Daruvu (2012) when Srinivasa Reddy was an assistant director. Vennela Kishore was already a known comedian. Srinivasa Reddy later said he was nervous directing a scene with Kishore, but Kishore broke the ice by cracking a joke about the director's own dialogue.
• In Jamba Lakidi Pamba (2018), Srinivasa Reddy wrote a scene where his character had to slap Vennela Kishore repeatedly. Kishore insisted on real slaps — no cuts. After the 12th take, Reddy's hand was swollen, but Kishore kept laughing, which made the final cut funnier.
• Their double-act in Amar Akbar Anthony (2018) — where they played two bumbling henchmen — directly inspired a spin-off web series concept that was pitched to a streaming platform in 2020. It never got made, but the pitch document still circulates among Telugu comedy writers.
• During the shoot of Anando Brahma (2017), the two shared a room in a budget lodge for 45 days. They would rehearse scenes at 2 AM, waking up the crew. The director finally banned them from rehearsing after midnight.
• Srinivasa Reddy once said in an interview: 'Vennela Kishore is the only actor who can make me forget my lines on set. I'll be mid-dialogue, he'll do something with his eyebrow, and I'll just lose it. We had to reshoot half of Bhagya Nagara Veedhullo Gammathu because of that.'
• In Bhagya Nagara Veedhullo Gammathu (2019), they improvised an entire 7-minute sequence where they argue over a stolen idli. The director kept the camera rolling. That scene became the most shared clip from the film on social media.
