• Nitin was just 19 and a newcomer when he was cast opposite Venu Madhav in 'Dil' (2003). Venu, already a seasoned comedian, reportedly told the director he'd do the film only if Nitin got the lead — he saw something in the kid nobody else did yet.
• In 'Sambaram' (2003), Venu Madhav's comic timing was so fast that Nitin kept breaking character mid-scene. The director had to do multiple retakes because Nitin couldn't stop laughing at Venu's ad-libs — and that real laughter made it into the final cut.
