• They first shared screen space in the 2008 thriller 'Maharathi' — but neither was the original choice. The director, Shivam Nair, cast them after a mutual friend insisted they'd bounce off each other perfectly. Boman later said he was 'terrified' of acting opposite Paresh on day one.
• In 'Sanju' (2018), Paresh played Sunil Dutt and Boman played a fictionalized version of Sanjay Dutt's lawyer. The scene where they argue in court was shot in one take — Paresh kept breaking character because Boman's Gujarati-accented English made him laugh. Rajkumar Hirani kept the take in the final cut.
• Their 2019 comedy 'Housefull 4' was the only film where they played brothers-in-law — and it directly inspired a spin-off idea: a buddy comedy about their characters, which was discussed but never greenlit. The producer later said the audience 'wanted more of them together'.
• Off-screen, they have a running joke about who can make the other laugh first on set. During 'Made In China' (2019), Paresh deliberately flubbed a line about 'gujiya' to crack Boman up — and Boman retaliated by improvising a full minute of nonsense dialogue. The director kept rolling.
• Boman Irani once said about Paresh Rawal: 'He is the only actor who can make me forget my lines — because I'm too busy watching him act.' He said this during a 2019 promotional interview for 'Made In China'.
