• For Raja Rishi (1985), director A. P. Nagarajan cast Raadhika as the female lead opposite Y. Gee. Mahendra. But she was already a huge star in Telugu and Malayalam. She agreed only because Mahendra, then a rising theatre legend, personally narrated the entire script to her over a phone call that lasted nearly two hours.
• In Manasukkul Mathappu (1988), Mahendra wrote the dialogues and Raadhika improvised most of her comic timing. She would deliberately pause mid-sentence to let his deadpan reactions land — a rhythm they never rehearsed, just felt on set.
• After Manasukkul Mathappu wrapped, Raadhika gifted Mahendra a silver pen. He still uses it to write his stage plays. She told a mutual friend: 'He writes better than he acts. I wanted him to keep writing.'
• Y. Gee. Mahendra once said in a 2019 interview: 'Raadhika is the only co-star who made me forget my lines. Not because she distracted me — because she was so good, I just stood there watching her.'
• Their 1988 film Manasukkul Mathappu directly inspired the stage play 'Crazy Thieves' that Mahendra later wrote. The play ran for over 500 shows in Chennai and launched the career of comedian Crazy Mohan.
• They didn't speak for 25 years after Manasukkul Mathappu. No fight — just drifted apart. Then in 2023, Raadhika called Mahendra out of the blue to ask if he'd do Chandramukhi 2 with her. He said yes without reading the script. He later admitted it was a mistake.
