• Charlie was the one who pushed for M.S. Bhaskar to play the villain in Sadhu Miranda (2008). The director wanted a younger face, but Charlie insisted Bhaskar had the right menace. That film became their first together.
• In Papanasam (2015), Bhaskar and Charlie played brothers-in-law. They shot the climax scene in one take because they kept improvising each other's lines. The director let them run with it — that scene is still a fan favourite.
• Their pairing in Pattinapakkam (2018) was so mismatched — a serious Bhaskar opposite a comic Charlie — that it accidentally created a new template for buddy comedies in Tamil B-movies. Three low-budget films copied the dynamic the next year.
